Start Right in Omaha/8

Recently I discovered that Omaha/8 hi-lo is a very entertaining and tricky game. New to this game, I've been very reluctant to join the fun because of the variety of hand possibilities that seem very confusing to the novice. Ever curious, I decided to try to understand what Omaha fanatics continually rave about as they sing this game's praises. My past attempts in playing Omaha almost always resulted in disaster until I read Lou Kriegers recent article in Card Player Magazine, regarding starting hands. Lou details a very sensible method of playable hands that one needs to even enter the pot in an Omaha hi-lo game. After assimilating these principles, I tried them in 3 different sit & go tournaments online at Paradise Poker and won all 3 tournaments, against experienced players! What a shock! I've discovered that Omaha/8 hi lo is a fascinating, fun game, with infinite combinations and possibilities to exercise one's intellect. If you want a challenge, try this game, but first read some good poker literature to get off to a good start. Lou Krieger's article is an excellent beginning point.
