Double Rush

Yesterday the poker gods blessed me twice. The cards were golden in two seperate 3-hour hold'em sessions. I had the Midas touch. At one time or another during this fiesta, I was dealt all of the high pairs and high suited connectors at least once. Every hand seemed to hold up, my draws usually filled for winners and the action was lively.. It was a beautiful thing. It was also unusual. When these sessions happen, we think we are much better players than we actually are. It's an ego trip to win like this. The "King of the mountain" syndrome. During play one feels invincible and un-beatable. These sessions are what keeps us coming back for more. Today I'll find out if my rush continues, or if I'll have another blue-collar game of grinding out a win. I suspect I already know the answer. One has to enjoy these rarities as they occur!
