Good Mix
Last night's 4-8 game was the right game to be in. The 10-handed game featured a balanced mix of novices and experienced players. Some players were tight, a couple were loose and three were calling stations who could be relied on to enter every pot and to continue through the river. It was a night that the neophytes were unlucky and didn't fill lousy holdings with their bad play. These players were easy to read and trap. It was a friendly game and no obnoxious drunks appeared to alter the atmosphere. Oasis dealers, Tiger and Mark ran a good game and poker was fun last night. Another dealer, Tony (Turbo), disguised as a railroad engineer, was playing on his day off, and quit a healthy winner. I took his seat and played for three hours, doubled my buy-in, quit, and went home happy. Poker's an easy game!! :-)
