Weather

It was a chilly 39 deg. when i got up and turned on the heat at 5:30 a.m. The Nevada desert is cold in the early mornings. Fortunately when the sun rises it warms up quickly. I added an awesome weather link to this blog. When I checked the forecast for President's Day and the following week, I see that it's going to be perfect golfing weather. I'll be able to golf in shorts and a short-sleeve golf shirt. Eat you heart out snow shovelers!!

The Sunday Hold'em tournament at the Oasis Casino today should be a good one. All of the hotels are sold out because of Valentine's Day. This should result in more out of town hold'em players entering the contest. More money for the winners! The tournament is becoming more competetive with an increase in skillful players. Many Las Vegas players drive the eighty miles to Mesquite to participate. They welcome the change to a small town atmosphere from the hustle and bustle of Vegas. Besides, the rooms are reasonable and the food is cheap and delicious!
